1. Who we are

This website, biquo.ai, is operated by Mediatech Ltd, 34 Triq Wied Ghomor, San Giljan, STJ 2043, Malta ("we", "us"). BIQUO® is a registered trademark of Mediatech Ltd. Mediatech Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What data we collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to give it to us:

  • Demo and contact requests. When you request a demo or write to us, we receive the details you provide: name, work email, company, institution type, the topic of your request, and your message.
  • Correspondence. If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and our business relationship.

We use cookieless website analytics (Ahrefs Analytics) that collects aggregate usage statistics, such as page views and referrers, without cookies, persistent identifiers or cross-site tracking. This website does not set advertising or profiling cookies.

3. Why we process it and on what legal basis

  • Responding to your requests (demo, contact): performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
  • Providing and improving our services and maintaining the relationship with your organisation: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
  • Aggregate website statistics: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, using data that does not identify you.
  • Legal obligations we are subject to, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

4. Where your data lives

Our services run on EU-based infrastructure, and we apply the safeguards described in our information security management system, which is certified to ISO 27001:2022. Where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on the safeguards provided for by the GDPR, such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

5. How long we keep it

We keep demo and contact data for as long as needed to handle your request and, where a business relationship follows, for its duration and any legally required retention period. If nothing follows, we delete the data within a reasonable time after our last exchange.

6. Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help us run the website and our communications, such as hosting and email infrastructure, bound by data processing agreements, and with authorities where the law requires it. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within the timelines set by the GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Malta this is the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how we process personal data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
